Meet the Facilitator
Kathy Buys, MFT
I am so happy that you are interested in this community! The most important aspects of who I am and whether you and I can facilitate your healing together can only be sensed in person. I live and work in the Bay Area of California. I hope you will contact me! In the meantime, here are a few facts about me:
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1997.
I have had over 20 years of experience working as an expressive arts therapist all over the world.
I am a certified shamanic practitioner and trained at the Irish Centre For Shamanic Studies, Co. Dublin.
I recently spent two months in Uganda teaching and facilitating expressive arts therapy healing weeks for adults.
I have been deeply involved in the traditional Irish music community for 10 years and have performed on the fiddle internationally.
I lived in Ennis, one of Ireland's most musical towns, for 4 months. During that time, my only focus was playing the music at pubs where I was the only "Yank".
